Welcome Back from Fall Break! I hope that everyone had a week full of memories, relaxation, and rejuvenation! I loved hearing all about the fun times had by each student. We have started the 2nd nine weeks and the students are doing an AWESOME job. As I told many of you in the conferences, first nine weeks is a lot of review. We are starting to get into new skills and concepts, which may mean that students have less time to complete work in class. That results in more subjects coming home as homework. Please continue to work on multiplication facts EVERY DAY. We are building on these facts for new concepts, so it is imperative that they know their facts.
This week was Homecoming Spirit week! The students had a blast dressing up and showing their school spirit. Below are some pictures from our week! I hope to see everyone at the game tonight to cheer on our Fighting Eagles!
Let me remind you that Tuesday, October 16, is a half day because of a teacher in-service. Dismissal will be at 11:00 a.m. If your child is staying for Extended Care, he/she needs a packed lunch. Extended will start charging at 11:00 a.m.
Friday, October 26, is the Vocabulary Parade. Many of you have done this in the past years. If you are new to Ezell, your student will pick a vocabulary word that he/she would like to showcase. He/she will then dress up to show the meaning of the word. For example, you might come dressed in your pajamas and your word could be "exhausted". Another idea is if you came with question marks all over you. Your word could be "inquisitive". I will encourage the students to choose a good "4th grade" word. If you need ideas, Pinterest and the internet have A TON! I cannot wait to see the creativity of each student!
Have a wonderful week!
